If you’re living in Romania or just passing through and suddenly craving Adobo, Lumpia, or a proper Jollibee-style chicken joy, you’re probably wondering: “Where can I eat Filipino food in Romania in 2025?”
In Brasov, there’s an upcoming event from August 1st to 3rd, perfect for lovers of Asian food and culture. And yes, Filipino food will be there too, thanks to Kabayan Restaurant from Bucharest, who will be bringing authentic dishes to the event. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth checking out!
Filipino Food in Romania: Is it Even a Thing?
Short answer: Yes, but you have to know where to look.
Romania isn’t exactly known for its Filipino food scene (yet!), but with the Filipino community growing and more people open to international flavours, a few gems have started popping up, especially in cities like Bucharest. From small pop-up events to home-based kitchens and Filipino products in Asian stores, it’s slowly becoming a thing.
In fact, we recently took the camera and went out to explore it ourself.
Watch it here on our channel – Romanian Noypi
We went out, talked to some Filipinos living in Romania, tried some authentic dishes and shared our honest (very hungry) reactions. Whether you’re looking for a quick Pancit fix or dreaming of a full-on Filipino Fiesta in Eastern Europe, this video gives you a good idea of what’s out there.
